LA MIRADA, CALIF. 鈥 On April 15, Biola University鈥檚 Theater 21 will debut their new production, 鈥淎n Inspector Calls.鈥 Six showings will be held April 15, April 17-21 and April 24. The show is directed and choreographed by Biola theatre professor, Kate Brandon.

鈥淎n Inspector Calls,鈥 written by J.B. Priestley, is a Tony Award-winning production that follows the investigation of a wealthy family鈥檚 connection to a young woman鈥檚 death. After conducting a routine inquiry with the family, the inspector begins to uncover secrets of each family member that connects them to the woman鈥檚 death.

鈥淚 chose the show because I liked the theme and idea of the show ... there is a ripple effect when we choose to be self-centered,鈥 said Brandon. 鈥淥ther themes I find in this play revolve around our social responsibility. The moral themes, character development, and intriguing way the story unfolds are strengths of this show.鈥

Brandon has previously directed plays at Theatre 21 including, 鈥淪ee How They Run,鈥 鈥淲oman in Black,鈥 and the musical, 鈥淐amelot.鈥
