The Under»Æ¹ÏÊÓÆµ Curriculum Committee (UGCC) is directly responsible for reviewing, recommending, and voting on all substantive and non-substantive changes to under»Æ¹ÏÊÓÆµ academic offerings through courses and programs, including majors, minors, concentrations, emphases, and certificate programs. As appointed by the Provost, the committee may be involved in decisions related to policies impacting academic offerings. Practices and procedures upheld by the Under»Æ¹ÏÊÓÆµ Curriculum Committee serve to ensure meaning, quality, equity, and integrity in the institution’s under»Æ¹ÏÊÓÆµ education. In this role, course and curricular matters regarding the university’s core curriculum are generally first discussed by the Council for the Core, and the UGCC acts on proposals that have that council’s affirmative recommendation. The committee reports to the Faculty Senate.
