Torrey Honors students are taught to pursue understanding, to be curious about the world around them. With the rigors of an honors core curriculum, Torrey Honors students apply their skills of critical thinking and inquiry to their chosen area of study.

Torrey Honors College is designed to fit with any on-campus Biola degree, and allows students to experience the best of classical learning — no matter their major.

Torrey Honors and General Education

Torrey Honors College is an alternative general education program in the liberal arts with specific curriculum requirements that fulfill most of Biola’s core curriculum requirements. 

The Torrey Honors College curriculum replaces all of Biola’s general education and Bible core curriculum coursework, with the exception of the core math, science, foreign language and lifetime wellness course requirements.
